  Then and NOW

Jerry Chandler - rhythm guitarist/vocalist. Founded Four More in October 1965 at age 17  while a senior at Richard King High School in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Kenny Chandler - bass guitarist/vocalist. Co-founder of Four More at age 15 while a sophomore at Richard King High School.

Chuck Carter - lead guitarist. Joined group in October 1965 at age 18 while a senior at Richard King High School.

Mike Burrows - drummer. Joined group in October 1965 at age 14 while a student at Baker Junior High School.

Jim Chandler - older brother of Jerry and Kenny. Joined group in May 1967 at age 22. Replaced Chuck Carter on lead guitar. Sang vocals.

  • Four More played first gig at JCC in Nov '65

  • Four More wins Battle of Bands against The In Crowd and unknown band in Jan '66. Four More wins right to front Valentine's Day Concert.

  • Four More fronts Valentine's Day Concert in Feb '66 at CC Coliseum featuring Billy Joe Royal & Charlie "The Silver Fox" Rich.

  • Four More records "Don't Give Up Hope" and "Problem Child" in McAllen, TX in April '66.

  • Four More fronts for The Ventures at Naval Air Station Navy Relief Festival in May '66.

  • "Don't Give Up Hope" played on KEYS and KRYS AM Radio stations in Corpus Christi during May, June, July '66.

  • Four More interviewed in "GO Magazine" for CC Caller Times, June, '66

  • Four More plays Teen Time (local TV show)  summer of '66

  • Four More plays Corpus Christi Telethon, Labor Day '66

  • "Bad Boy" and "It's So Hard" recorded in early '67 at Cutler's Studio in Corpus Christi. Never released.

  • Four More changes name to The Chosen Ones in early 1967.

  • Chuck Carter quits band in May '67. Jim Chandler replaces him on lead guitar and vocals.

  • The Chosen Ones record "World's Dark Side", "Bald-Headed Lena",  and other songs at Jones' Studio, Houston, TX in July, 1967.

  • Jim Chandler quits band in early '69.

  • Mike Burrows quits band in -mid '69.

  • Group disbands totally in Dec '69.

  • Kenny, Jerry, and Mike plus Frank Hill on lead guitar form The Chandler Bros Band" in 1983 and play till Oct '84 in Houston and Pasadena TX.

  • "Problem Child" included on "Highs in the Mid Sixties: Vol.11 Texas: Part 1" in 1984.

  • "Problem Child" included on "Total Raunch"  compilation CD released 2004.

  • Jerry and Kenny and nephew, Keith Smith, Nashville recording artist,  form Chandler Smith Publishing in 2005.

  • "Four More" CD featuring "Don't Give Up Hope", "Problem Child", "Bad Boy", and "It's So Hard" released in 2005. All are original '66-'67 "Four More" recordings; "Bad Boy" and "It's So Hard' never before released. Buy it now on this site!

  • June 4, 2005 - "Four More" invited to Corpus Christi, Texas to play for  Water Street Art and Music Fest. Carl Aeby, formerly of The Liberty Bell played drums and Billy Mrazek of The Billy Mrazek Band played lead guitar. Both did an excellent job. Jerry on rhythm guitar and Kenny on bass guitar. Jerry and Kenny sang "Bad Boy", "Problem Child", "It's So Hard". Then Jim Chandler joined in and the brothers sang several period cover songs.  It was the first live appearance by the Chandler Brothers since 1984. Lots of fun for fans and family.  CD's are now also available at the Executive Surf Club Record Store on Water Street in Corpus Christi, TX. Stay tuned for future performance events.

  • August 22-23, 2005 - Jerry, Kenny and Jim recorded four songs in Nashville at Jimmy Chandler's studio. The songs were written by the brothers years ago but never recorded until now. Watch for release of these songs on a new CD available on this website soon.
